Anthropology major Amanda Pregibon won a Signature Experience Award at the Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference in April 2021 for her virtual oral presentation titled “Comparing dietary proclivities in Pleistocene fossil primates from Swartkrans cave, South Africa using dental microwear.” She recently graduated with her BA in Anthropology with an honors thesis titled“Examining the dietary behavior of Australopithecus robustus and fossil primates from Swartkrans, South Africa using low-magnification stereomicroscopy of dental microwear.”Amanda was the Dental Microwear Lab manager for Spring 2021 via a University Assistantship.

Shelby Anderson-Badbade won the 2021 Outstanding Graduate Assistant Award in the College of Arts and Sciences at Georgia State.

Julisa Rojas (faculty sponsor, Dr. Cassandra White) won the Signature Experience Award and first place Global Engagement Award. Finally, Sarah Mendes (faculty sponsor, Dr. Kathryn A. Kozaitis) won First Place Oral Presentation for Social and Behavioral Sciences and Second Place, Global Engagement Award.
