Arts and Crafts Session, Spring 2024
"The ANTHRO Club is a student organization at GSU open to both undergraduate and graduate students, including those within the Department of Anthropology as well as anyone with an interest in the field of Anthropology.
Our main goal is to foster a sense of community--with other students and professors on GSU campus, in Atlanta, and the surrounding area--while exploring aspects of Anthropology that extend beyond classroom. We achieve this through on-campus club meetings, field trips, and events around town that touch on the diverse sub-fields of Anthropology: Cultural, Biological, Archaeological, Linguistic, and Applied.
This year, we invite you to join us to our second iteration of our celebration of World Anthropology Day! Held on the third Tuesday in February every year, Anthropology Day "is a day for anthropologists to celebrate our discipline while sharing it with the world around us," as per the American Anthropological Association (AAA). On the evening of Thursday, February 20th, we welcome students, faculty, and friends to this on-campus event which features food, socializing, and speakers from the Department of Anthropology (location and time: TBA). Stay tuned for more announcements. We look forward to seeing you in our upcoming events!" Deena Byfield, President of ANTHRO CLUB
