Archaeological Lab
The Archaeological Lab provides facilities to prepare (cleaning, labeling, etc…) and analyze archaeological materials. It is also where our field equipment is stored.
Bioarchaeology Lab
The Bioarchaeology Lab at GSU is directed by Dr. Bethany Turner-Livermore, and hosts several types of research on archaeological human remains.
Dental Microwear Lab
The Dental Microwear Laboratory in the Department of Anthropology at Georgia State University is curated by Dr. Frank L’Engle Williams.
Ethnographic Lab
Curated by Dr. Steven Black, the ethnographic laboratory is a space for GSU students and faculty members to explore the potential of audio-visual technologies for documenting and theorizing culture and communication.
Phoenix Lab
Curated by Dr. Jeffrey Glover, the Phoenix Project labs house the bulk of the 469 boxes that comprise the MARTA archaeological collection.
Bioarchaeology Teaching Lab
Biological Anthropology courses, taught by Drs. Bethany Turner-Livermore and Frank Williams are held in the Bioarchaeology Teaching Laboratory.
